Biography

I began my music education at the very early age of four. My family was very musical growing up and that inspired me to continue my education. Out of my five sisters three of us play the piano and teach.

I began teaching at the age of sixteen and I decided this was what I wanted to do. So after highschool I attended Montgomery College and majored in Piano Performance. Soon after I met my husband, Zack, who stole me away to Clute, Texas. About a year later we moved to Austin which is where we live now. In Cedar Park, I teach at a Fine Arts Academy group and private piano lessons.  Starting in January of 2009 I am opening up my own piano studio!

Music has been a life long passion in my life. Playing the piano has become a part of me and I truly love to play each and every day. I believe that when you love something it's contagious. I try each and every lesson to pass this love on to my students. I have students that tell me, "I love playing the piano and I just can't stay away from playing it!" Comments like these bring me great joy and I hope to have all of my students feel this way. Playing the piano has proved to be a great outlet and bright spot in my life. It is something you can share with others, but the greatest benefit is what it does for you in your life.

I am classically trained but I also play many other styles of music. The teaching program I use teaches all styles of playing the piano, and I think this makes it very fun! I look forward to meeting you and making music a part of your life.
